Volero Zurich Rid Eczacibasi Vitra of the Awarding Podium, Becoming the Bronze Medalist

Kobe, Japan, May 14, 2017 – Two European powerhouses Volero Zurich and Ezacibasi Vitra delivered a thrilling Bronze medal match with 5 sets, 3-2 (25-22, 25-15, 22-25, 23-25, 15-12) in the FIVB Volleyball Women’s Club World Championship Kobe 2017.

The Swiss troop- Rhkyliuk and Dobriana Rabadzhieva powered up Volero Zurich to win in the first two sets. While everyone believed it was going to be a straight win for Vloero, Eczacibasi coach Massimo Barbolini  decided to change the overall landscape with Kosheleva since the second set, aiding Eczacibasi to seize the third and fourth sets. 

The golden fifth decider set gave the audience an adrenaline rush with both teams tied at some spots at the ending phraae of match. Unfortunately, the Turkish squad let it slip away with unforced errors in reception and attack passing on the bronze medal to Volero.
An unfortunate substitution mistake turned positive for the Swiss club, as Carcaces scored an ace to give Volero Zurich a 13-12 edge. A drop shot from Ekaterina Orlova and an attack error from Kosheleva sealed the bronze medal victory for Volero Zurich.
