Ukraine and Poland qualified to FIVB U21 Men’s WCH

FIVB U21 Men’s World Championship European Qualification has confirmed two tickets to the U21 Men’s World Championship (WCH) hosts by Czech Republic on 23 June. Ukraine from Pool E and Poland from Pool F together with Russia, Italy and host Czech Republic, will compete with other teams from Asia, Africa and Pan America in this summer.

Pool E in Požarevac (SRB)

Ukraine vs Serbia 3-1 (26-24, 25-12, 18-25, 25-22)

Ukraine recorded their third straight win in as many matches in the European qualifier – Pool E held in Požarevac. The silver medallists from the 2016 U20 Men’s European Championship beat hosts Serbia 3-1 (26-24, 25-12, 18-25, 25-22).

Pool F in Berlin (GER)

Poland vs Germany 3-1 (25-23, 25-23, 26-24)

Poland lived up to the expectations after completing a clean sweep of their matches in Pool F – following a 3-0 victory (25-23, 25-23, 26-24) over hosts Germany at Sportforum in Berlin. Poland join the winners of Pool E, Ukraine, hosts Czech Republic plus Russia and Italy – qualified by virtue of their position in the latest FIVB ranking for this age category – to compose the European contingent for this year’s World Championship.
