USA is going to have their own professional men’s volleyball league again since the 1970’s!!
Many American volleyball players- including Lloy Ball , Russell Holmes , David Lee and Matthew Anderson posted in their social networks with a link to the @nvausa account, which reported the creation of a professional men’s league, the National Volleyball Association (NVA) in the United States. And finally the kick off of the US Professional Men’s Volleyball League is scheduled on December 8-10 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
According to World of Volley, eight teams from Arizona, Washington, New York, Indiana, Northern and Southern California, and Illinois will participate in the league and they are:
Academy United
Arizona Sizzle
Blizzard Volleyball
Chicago Lights Out VBC
Icemen
Rising Tide
Team LVC
Team Pineapple
Former member of the U.S. national team Russell Holmes is going to play for Blizzard Volleyball, while the Olympic gold medalist from 2008 Lloy Ball will lead his Team Pineapple.
With 358 athletes playing outside U.S., it was the right time to launch a professional volleyball league in the country. Hopefully, the teams are able to match the offers of international clubs so that the American athletes can finally play at home.
