Legendary Cuban-Italian player Taismary Aguero back to court and signed a new contract at her age of 40!!
After she gave a birth to her second child Rafael, Taismary officially announced she will join Canovi Copertire Sassuolo from Serie B1.
“I’m excited like a child. Three months ago I was still pregnant and now I am again ready to return to play. I immediately accepted the proposal of Sassuolo because it will allow me to combine my role of mother and player”- she said.
After a season in Pomi Casalamaggiore 2013/2014, Taismary moved to Forli and stayed until the end of 2015/2016.
Aguero is a Cuban-born Italian volleyball player. She is the only player who represented two women’s volleyball National teams and won the Major titles (1995 FIVB World Cup, 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games, 1998 FIVB World Championship, 1999 FIVB World Cup and 2000 Sydney Olympic Games for Cuba; 2007 FIVB World Cup for Italy).
