Sullivan chosen to succeed Kiraly as head coach of the USA women’s team.

USA Volleyball announced on Monday that former USA men’s national team libero Erik Sullivan will take over as head coach of the women’s national team, replacing the legendary Karch Kiraly.

Sullivan brings international experience from his playing days, having been part of the national team from 1998 to 2004 and competing in the Sydney 2000 and Athens 2004 Olympics. He also played for club teams in Switzerland, Spain, the Netherlands, and Russia.

Since retiring, Sullivan has primarily coached at the collegiate level, serving as an assistant at Colorado University, Nebraska, and the University of Texas, where he spent 14 years and helped the team win three national titles.

Earlier, USA Volleyball has announced that Karch Kiraly will be the head coach of mens team.
