The existing head coach of Russian women’s team, Sergio Buzato will leave the post while another Italian coach Stefano Lavarini, will be appointed instead. This was reported by Russian media-Match TV.
Instead of Busato, the post will be taken by the head coach of the Italian club Novara Lavarini, who also coached the South Korean national team in 2019-2021, which took fourth place at the Tokyo Olympic Games.
A meeting of the Presidium of the All-Russian Volleyball Federation will take place on Tuesday, at which the head coaches of the men’s and women’s national teams for the next year will be approved.
