Serbian Women’s team is in risk of losing one of their main players in the coming European Championship on 22th September in Azerbaijan. Middle blocker and captain, Milena Rasic suffered a right leg injury 20 days before the start of European Championship. The player did not travel to Turkey with the selection of Serbia, for the preparatory friendly match with Turkey. Rasic stayed in Serbia to treat the injury.
Milena talked about the injury but did not give certainties. She said she may be in the tournament: “If I need to, I will skip the European Championship group stage matches in Azerbaijan, but I must be on the court for the most decisive matches,” Milena said.
The European Championship will take place between 22 September and 1 October in the cities of Ganja and Tbilisi, Georgia and Baku, Azerbaijan. Serbia are in Group D, alongside with the Netherlands, Belgium and the Czech Republic.
