Russia Women’s team clinched their third consecutive Summer Universiade Volleyball Champion title

Russia overpowered Japan with a 3: 1 (25:18, 17:25, 25:22, 25:22) result and clinched their third consecutive Summer Universiade Women’s Volleyball Champion title in Taipei.

The final match of 29th Summer Universiade Taipei Women’s Volleyball was held on 28 August in Taipei National University Stadium. The women’s student team of Russia for the third time in a row and for the second time under the head coach Vadim Pankov became the winner of the Summer Universiade. Wing spiker Natalia Krotkova was the top scorer who contributed 22 points and Alina Pankova scored 16 points and the Russian future star, middle blocker Angelina Lazarenko scored 14 points. Japan team spiker Arisa Inoue scored 21 points for her team.
