RIP Legendary Coach Vladimir Kuzyutkin (1947-2022)
Former head coach of the Russian women’s volleyball team Vladimir Kuzyutkin passed away at the age of 76 on 11 June 2022 who had been battling a serious and prolonged illness.
Throughout his successful coaching career, he led many teams to achieve remarkable results including men’s clubs “Motor” (Volgograd), “Uralenergomash” (Sverdlovsk), “Neftyanik” (Yaroslavl), “Samotlor” (Nizhnevartovsk), women’s clubs in Belgorod and Balakovo, as well as the national teams of Turkey and Bulgaria.
The pinnacle in the long coaching biography of Vladimir was the 2010 World Championship, in which he led the Russian women volleyball players to clinch gold medals with clean victory record.
