Kosheleva and Goncharova with 16 players preparing for the WCH European Qualification

Leading players of Russia national team- Kosheleva and Goncharova, together with other 16 players are preparing for the European Qualification tournament for the 2018 World Championships. 

Under the supervision of head coach Vladimir Kuzyutkin, Russia Women’s team entered a substantive stage of preparation. Yesterday, players from Dinamo Moscow and Tatiana Kosheleva from Eczacibasi VitrA joined together. Both teams participated in the FIVB Club World Champions which just finished on 14 May. 

The training camp base is in Novogorske. Preparation began in April 29,  14 out of 18 players will be selected as the final lineup on 30 May. The team will be in Novogorske until May 26 and then will travel to Istanbul to play a friendly match with the Turkish national team. May 29 the players and coaching staff will fly to the capital of Croatia, Zagreb, and from there to the venue of the competition in Osijek.

Russia team will play against Austria, Georgia, Greece, Hungary and Croatia in group stage. The winner of the tournament will get the direct ticket to World Championships 2018 in Japan.
