Igor Gorgonzola NOVARA secured the CEV Volleyball Cup title with a commanding 3-0 (30-28, 25-17, 28-26) victory over CS Volei Alba BLAJ in the second-leg final. Having won the first leg 3-1, the Italian team needed just two sets to clinch the championship but dominated the match to seal the trophy in straight sets.

The opening set was a hard-fought battle, with Alba BLAJ pushing to overturn their deficit. Despite their strong start, NOVARA’s experience and composure led them to a 30-28 win. Riding the momentum, NOVARA controlled the second set, tightening their defense and limiting Alba BLAJ’s chances, ultimately winning 25-17 to confirm their title. The third set saw a spirited fight from the home team, but NOVARA held firm to close the match at 28-26.

Statistically, NOVARA outperformed their opponents, scoring 81 points with four aces and seven kill blocks. Alba BLAJ, despite scoring 71 points with three aces and seven blocks, fell short. Tatiana Tolok starred with 22 points, a 68% spike success rate, and one kill block, earning MVP honors.
