Former Japanese national team player Yamaguchi Mai will retire from her volleyball career in May

Former Japanese national team player, Yamaguchi Mai will retire after the 68th Black Eagle Flag All Japan Women’s volleyball tournament on may 1th-6th.

Yamaguchi performed her first-ever V-league official match in 2001 and join the Japanese national team in 2009. Yamaguchi helped the national team to take the bronze medal of 2012 London Olympic.

Yamaguchi played for V-league team Okayama Seagulls since 2002. In 2013, Yamaguchi was appointed as the captain of V-league team Okayama Seagulls, with her skill and experience, she helped the team to achieved the highest ranking (runner up) in V-league 2013/14.

Yamaguchi is an all rounded player who is famous with her combination attack and running spikes. She is also a very kind person who like to smile. We wish Yamaguchi a new page of life after her retirement.
