FIVB lifted the suspension on Serbian setter Ana Antonijevic

The international Volleyball Federation (FIVB) informed the Volleyball Federation of Serbia, the Antidoping Agency of the Republic of Serbia and Ana Antonijevic, a member of the women’s volleyball team of Serbia, to lift the suspension imposed due to a positive finding of Clenbuterol.

The test was carried out during the Final  round of World Grand Prix 2017. A detailed analysis showed that Antonijevic’s positive finding was caused by meat consumption in Nanjing, China, during the tournament. The FIVB will forward the report to the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), which will subsequently announce its decision. Ana Antonijevic, according to the decision of the FIVB, will be able to play for Volero Zurich in club competitions in the upcoming season.
