According to Xinhua News Agency in China, the national team has decided to let Zhu Ting rest for the rest of the year, meaning Zhu will not participate in any international tournament after the National Games of China this summer.
After helping her current club, Vakifbank Istanbul, to win the local league as well as the FIVB Club World Championship earlier this month, Zhu Ting made a quick return to her home town to play for mother club “Hunan” in the preliminary round of National Games. Regrettably, being the only star in her team, the Olympic and World Cup champion failed to help Hunan to advance to the final round that the team needs to play another qualification round later on.
The remaining international tournaments remain this year include Montreux Volley Masters, World Grand Prix, FIVB Grand Champions Cup and FIVB U23 World Championship.
