The biannual CEV Women’s European Championship 2021 will kick off right after the Tokyo Olympic!! This year, four countries will be co-hosting the event – Serbia, Bulgaria, Croatia and Romania. The top 24 women’s volleyball teams in Europe will compete for the champions title . 76 matches in total will take place in four cities- Belgrade, Plovdiv, Zadar and Cluj-Napoca.
24 teams will be divided to 4 pools. Each pool included 6 teams.
Pool A in Serbia included: Azerbaijan, Belgium, Bosnia & Herzegovina, France, Russia and Serbia.
Pool A in Bulgaria included: Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Germany, Greece, Poland and Spain.
Pool C in Croatia included: Belarus, Croatia, Hungary, Italy, Slovakia and Switzerland
Pool D in Romania included: Finland, Romania, Sweden, The Netherlands, Turkey and Ukraine
The opening match will be Bulgaria against Greece on 18th of August at 20:30 local time. Semifinals will be on 3rd of September and Gold medal match will be on 4th September, both take place in Belgrade, Serbia.
