After nearly half a year, FIVB has finally decided to withdraw the suspension penalty against the Brazilian star player Murilo Endres on a ground that they believe the player did not take the drug with intention.
The entire ordeal dates back to May 2017 when Murilo had failed in a doping test against diuretic furosemide, a drug used for weight control and simultaneously can hide the presence of certain illegal substances in drug test.
Regarding the withdrawal of the penalty, Murilo’s lawyer said on behalf of the player that he had no comment to give at the moment whereas the player tweeted recently, “Thank you all for the messages !!!! Happy to have finished this nightmare and be able to train and play!!! ”
The World champion and FIVB Hero will go back to court playing for SESI Sao Paulo as libero in the next season.
