Brazilian Superstar Murilo Facing Suspension due to  Dopping Test Failure

According to a braziian newspaper O Globo, former national player as well as 2-time Olympic silver medalist, Murilo Endres, was caught using the diuretic furosemide, as tested by the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB).

Diuretic furosemide can help in weight loss and also disguises the use of other banned substances in sport games.

At the time, the 35 years old athlete and the Brazilian Volleyball Confederation refused to comment on the issue while the his Club, Sesi, has expressed the support for Murilo. It is reported that the player is demanding further proof and waiting for the result of second sample testing.

If  the second sample does not pass the test, the FIVB hero may face match suspension and definitely will leave an indelible mark in his once shining career.
