Brazil brought home with their record breaking 12th FIVB WGP title after a thrilling 5-set game 3:2 (26-24, 17-25, 25-22, 22-25, 15-8)

Both Italy and Brazil geared up with their strongest lineups and delivered a 5-set thriller to the audience. Both team played in very close level and had split victory, winning every other set.

The turning point began in set 4 though the South American lost it. They succeeded to change their game plan and seem to found effective ways to stop Egonu’s killing spikes. They scored a total of 15 blocking points in the entire match which is believed to be the pivotal factors of their victory.
