The last day of the tournament began with the bronze medal match between two semi-finalists: Argentina and Chian. Argentina were competing at their first ever Montreux Masters while China were six-time champions of the tournament. Gong Xiangyu, 2016 Rio Olympic Gold medalist, contributed 17 points for China and lead China to victory.
The gold medal match is the battle between Germany and Brazil. Head coach of Brazil, José Roberto Guimaraes consisted a lot of young players in his list and they proved that they are wroth to be chosen. Rosamaria Montibeller, Natália Pereira and Ana Carolina Da Silva were the stars of the show, the latter coming away with the accolade of MVP as her blocks and lethal spiking at crucial times not only shut down the devastating German offense of Louisa Lippmann, Jennifer Geerties and Maren Brinker, but allowed teammates Tandara Caixeta and Adenizia Da Silva the freedom to shine. With the brilliant performance of young players, Brazil straight sets win over Germany and bag the gold medal of the 2017 Montreux Volley Masters for the seventh time.
