Zurich, 30.08.2017 – Volero Zurich announced on their official website that Russian young middle blocker Angelina Lazarenko will join the club in the new season.
The only 19-year-old Russia player, Angelina Lazarenko will wear the colors of Volero Zurich next season. Angelina Lazarenko started to play volleyball in the age of 12 in sport school SDUSHOR 21. Then she became a player of Volleyball club Fakel, then VC LUCH Moscow. She spent two last seasons in Russian Volleyball club Zarechie Odintsovo. Angelina Lazarenko became a player of Russian Youth Girls team when she was 14 years old. She won gold of 2015 CEV U18 Volleyball European Championship – Women and she was awarded as MVP and Best Blocker. As a player of Russian Junior Women’s team she won 2016 CEV U19 Volleyball European Championship – Women and was awarded as a Best Middle blocker and she became the gold medalist at the latest Summer Universiade in Taipei in August 2017.
